When is the last time you read Revelation?
It’s really an amazing book.
It opens with the Apostle John in prison. He doesn’t let his circumstances stop him from getting into the presence of God thru prayer, praise and worship.
While praising and praying, John has a vision where he sees King Jesus in his High Priest garments. (Yes, Jesus is King and Priest in the manner of Melchizedek)
So Jesus tells John to write everything he see and hear. And the first dictation he has to write is letters to the 7 congregations. (These are letters for us.)
I’m only going to share one, the last one written to the Laodicean church. I kind of feel like it’s the harshest of all letters and yet the most loving. Harsh, but loving? Yes, and that’s because of what Jesus said.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. – Revelation 3:19 NIV
The love of God down to the very end cannot be denied.
Anyway…
This nation’s election might be over but the world’s election is not. Everyday that we are awakened is an opportunity to choose. The ballots are open until King Jesus arrives.

(And by the way…
The letters was written to the church and not the world. )

Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. – 2 Timothy 2:14-15 NIV
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. – 2 Peter 1:10-11 NIV
14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.
15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” – Revelation 3:14-22 NIV
