Happy THANKSGIVING Everyday

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

There are 5 instructions that we are given in this verse…

  1. Continue to live our lives in Christ.
I am to never forget that apart from Christ I cannot grow. That there is no life apart from Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life. And Philippians 2:13 that it is God who works in me both to will and to do of his good pleasure. In other words, all I accomplish is because of God.
  2. Be rooted in Christ.
In order to be rooted one must dig deep. The benefits of digging deep is that I would have a firm foundation. Regardless of what anyone around me do in this world, I am to never stop digging deep.
  3. To be built up in Him.
Being built up is growth. I am to continue to grow. I cannot become stagnate.
  4. I am to be strengthened in faith.
Faith is a muscle. If you don’t use it you will lose it. Daily I am to exercise my faith. I am to of regular faith checkups also. I don’t want to get comfortable in my faith and assume that I’m in good standing. God tells us to lean not on our own understanding but in all our ways to acknowledge him and he will make our paths straight. So I am to regularly check myself measuring myself against the standards of Gods Word. This is important because without faith it’s impossible to please God well. So I can’t be comfortable in where I think I stand with the Lord. I must continue to grow.
  5. I must abound in Thanksgiving.
This is so timely considering that what the world celebrates is two days away. But for me, I don’t wait for Thursday to be thankful. To abound in Thanksgiving means I am to be thankful everyday.

Every day I wake up is a cause to be thankful.

Every day I am granted travel mercy and grace is a reason to be thankful.

Every day that God rebukes the devourer on my behalf is a reason to be thankful.

I am the most thankful for my relationship with the Most High GOD, and that He has granted me not only to hear HIS voice spoken to me, but also that He has opened and unlocked to me an understanding of HIS Holy Word.

I am thankful for my tutor, the Holy Spirit, who teaches me and leads me in all truth. My life is crazy amazing, and Philippians 2: 13 reminds me that this is all because of ALMIGHTY GOD

So I scream out in my spirit, “THANK YOU”.

Thank you because having such an amazing relationship with my Heavenly Father first is spilling over into my everyday life and causing me to have a good relationship with those around me – intimate family first, then extended family, and then friends.

Thank you❤❤❤

I’m so grateful.
