I don’t care what time I go to sleep

On call is on call is on call

Ministry is not about me.
I’m not called for my own purpose.
I’m called for God’s purpose.

So when I am awakened I need to get up.

So what I did today is the same thing that the disciples did when Jesus told them to get up and pray that they fall not into temptation.

And they fell asleep
Three times



Epic failure
And today I am paying for it.

Consequences

One thing I have always been clear about is that I can’t just get up and go about my day as if I’m controlling that thing.

I am NOT in control
of nothing.

But let me tell you.
If I don’t get my behind up

I dont care how sleepy I am

And sit my behind in the presence of the Lord
When HE calls my name waking me

Then the attacks I come under in the course of the day is unreal.

I have been on the phone 3 hours dealing with financial issues and people trying to hack my accounts. (Thankfully I have my accounts so locked up that their weapons formed did not prosper. )

But still…

Now I’m not tripping
I know I’m gonna be fine today because
I have overcome each weapon formed
Knocking them straight out

BUT

all of that could have been avoided had I got up.

Ugh

Alright the milk is spilt.
Now to clean it up and start again from where I am at.

My day begins now.
And it begins right.

… I’m logging off now. I got to get in position.
But before I go and get this day back on track, let me share this.

What’s the lesson:

1. God awakens you.
You do not awaken yourself and neither does an alarm clock awaken you.

2. When GOD awakens you, it is for His purpose.  Get up and get into the presence of the Lord first and foremost placing the outcome of your entire day in His hands Proverbs 3:5,6
Psalm 37:3-5

3. When you start your day with the Lord you are empowered for the day. When you just get up and go about your day, you are powerless. This is why the disciples of Jesus had no power to heal the young man who had seizures. They were operating in their own strength and dynamic healing and delivering and overcoming power comes from GOD. It’s not in our own power that we are successful.

Therefore…
If you are going about your day and you are getting things done and yet you haven’t spent time with the Lord, and you are all happy about what you have accomplished

Imagine finding out that all you did in your own strength was really mediocre because you could have done so much more in God’s strength.

So once you have gotten into the habit of spending time in the presence of God first before you go about your day, you can immediately tell when you made a misstep.

And that is what I did.
I tripped today.
I misstepped today.
But thankfully, the Holy Spirit is with me helping me to walk.

“Get back up baby and try again” is what I am hearing

And I am about to do that now.
But it was such an amazing lesson that I thought of you to share my blooper moment with you because I figured you could benefit from my mistake. Lol to not make that mistake yourself.

My day is getting ready to be blessed because I am starting over.
