The Time to Workout is NOW, not when we get to heaven. Here is why…
In heaven there is continuous praise and worship
Kadosh Kadosh Kadosh
Holy Holy Holy art thou Lord God Almighty
You are worthy to be praised
Day and night they never stop saying:
“‘Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty,’
who was, and is, and is to come.”
Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever.
They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
“You are worthy,
our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will
they were created and have their being.” – Revelation 4:8-11 NIV
It’s a Continuous praise and worship.
And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord Almighty;
the whole earth
is full of his glory.”
At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. – Isaiah 6:3-4NIV
Here on earth, we say we want to go to heaven.
But are we prepared to worship continuously?
Are we prepared to stand or lie prostrate in the presence of our Lord? (Both John, Daniel, and Ezekiel fell as if dead at what they were allowed to see, but they were told to stand. Daniel said he stood but he was shivering with fear. ( Daniel 10: 10,11 )
Are we prepared to take in the enormity of it all?
Or can we only tolerate child sized portions?
Brothers and sisters,
I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit
but as people who are still worldly —mere infants in Christ.
I gave you milk, not solid food,
for you were not yet ready for it.
Indeed, you are still not ready. – 1 Corinthians 3:1-2 NIV
We have much to say about this,
but it is hard to make it clear to you
because you no longer try to understand.
In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers,
you need someone to teach you
the elementary truths of God’s word all over again.
You need milk, not solid food!
Anyone who lives on milk,
being still an infant,
is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.
But solid food is for the mature,
who by constant use
have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. – Hebrews 5:11-14 NIV
King Jesus told us to press on to maturity. (Hebrews 6:1)
We need to train our ears to hear the word of God.
Train.
Exercise.
Press pass what you are comfortable with.
In the teaching of the wheat and the tares,
the mass of people came to hear a snippet, but it was the disciples who entered into the house behind Jesus to ask their questions and hear more. (Matthew 13:36-43)
Those who entered into the house behind Jesus are those who dwell. (Psalm 91:1)
It’s a choice.
And everyone can choose.
Just remember that there are consequences and rewards that come with every choice.
