Perspective: the smallness of me

I find myself looking at the sky and the mountains, the tree tops and the buildings and what takes my breath away is how small we are.

We are so small and yet our thoughts and feelings and emotions make us think that the pressures and stresses and anxieties of the world around us is huge.

It’s not.

What is huge is the Creator of all of the things that we see and of that which we dont see.

We can not begin to fathom that we know GOD. Even if we lived forever that is not enough time to know GOD.

What we do have is the written account of Jesus life on earth and the fact that Jesus said that to see him is to see GOD.

This is confusing to some but to understand it you simply have to look at children and their parents and see that some are the spitting image of their parents… Looking like them. Acting like them, sounding like them, though they are not them.

GOD is so much more than the constraints and boxes that we try to put HIM in as we draw closer to HIM ourselves.

HE, GOD, is so much more than the bondages that we place on people in the area of what to believe or not believe.

GOD IS the Great I AM THAT I AM.

HE is whatever we need HIM to be for us at any given time.

We don’t need to let the hypocrisy or the criticalness, or the judgments or the anxieties of this world weigh us down.

None of these things, the pressures of this world, matter when we put into perspective just how Great GOD is.

HE is much greater than the expanse of the sky above.

HE is the Creator of all things.

HIS breath is the air that we breathe.

HE is All-powerful
HE is All-knowing
HE is Everywhere

And to think… HE is so very great, yet to help us to understand HIM and KNOW HIM, His only begotten Son, stepped down from heaven, humbling himself to take on the form of man so that through looking at Him we could see our Heavenly Father.

This is so huge…

Jesus says to me that I don’t have to stress nothing. I dont have to worry about nothing. I do not need to fret about peoples opinions, perceptions, and personalities.

I need to not look at the boisterous winds.

I simply need to keep my eyes on Jesus.

So looking up and seeing nothing but sky and realizing that my GOD is greater even that the sky that I cannot fully see, places everything I experience in this country, state, county, city, community in perspective.

I serve a Great GOD.

How Great is our GOD. (Sing with me.) How Great is our GOD. Then all will see how Great, how Great is our GOD.
