Have you been contradicting GOD Almighty, our Heavenly Father, the Creator and Sustainer of ALL?
Have you been hardening your heart to HIS counsel?
You might say no.
But I believe that you have been hardening your heart to the counsel that comes to you from Father, to King Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, to us.
Interject:
3 men conversating with Abram. Tells him that Sarai is going to have a baby. Sarai overheard the conversation and laughs. The Lord says, Why did you laugh? Sarai says I did not laugh. The Lord says Oh but you did.
Do not deny that you have contradicted the LORD because you did. He heard you clearly because he reads your heart and kidneys.
This is why not once, not twice (solidly confirms the matter), but three times (for emphasis) he says
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion….”
Hebrews 3:7-8
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
Hebrews 3:15
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts.
Hebrews 4:7
Notice that twice God called this REBELLION.
(What does it mean when something is mentioned twice?)
{If you do not know go back and read this at the beginning again. – I’ll wait.}
Let’s continue…
When we find ourselves in some trouble
And we finally get to that place where we humble ourselves before the LORD and pray to HIM for ourselves (instead of asking other people to pray who frfr don’t know the situation though they might know of it); then we are told that he saves us out of our distresses.
He heals us.
What does that mean?
It means He fixes what is broken that we couldn’t fix ourselves.
How does he do that?
Psalm 107:20 says
He sent His Word and Healed them
And delivered them from their destructions.
He sent His Word.
Therefore,
Contained in the word of God
Is the answer
To any and every, yes ALL problems that we may face.
When we hear that answer
And we respond with the word
BUT
What does that mean?

It is then that we have hardened our heart
And rejected the word of GOD
Which is REBELLION
I remember hearing
A long time ago
People saying
“Take the word CAN’T out of your vocabulary because Yes You Can. You can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you.”
Well, here’s another word that needs to be taken out of our vocabulary as a response to God’s word:
“But…”
When GOD sends His Word to you be it through one of His many messengers, or thru HIS written Word, and you respond with the word “But…”, that is rebellion and you might as well just prepare to bump your head again.
That word, when used as a response to something, causes you to ignore the counsel given in favor of a different response.
King Jesus Christ said, “why do you call me Lord, Lord and you do not do what I tell you? Luke 6:46. I suggest that you turn to Luke 6, and starting at verse 46, read the remainder of those verses because King Jesus let’s you know that you are about to suffer for your rebellious choice to ignore him.
So,
With that being said,
I encourage you
For whatever your problem is
Consult the word of God about the matter.
It’s in there
And TODAY when you hear Gods Voice
Don’t harden your heart.
Listen and obey.
When GOD tells you what to do
Do it!
Don’t respond with But.
You don’t get to say BUT to God
Unless you need further clarity because you dont understand the assignment.
At James 1:5 Father tells us that we can ask for more wisdom.
At James 5:13 we are told that if there is trouble “we” are to pray.
Psalm 50:15 tells us to call to HIM in the day of trouble.
We need to do what our Heavenly Father tells us to do. End of story.
With that being said…
Let’s put this into action:
1. What is your issue?
2. Find what God’s word says about your issue
3. What did God say? (No buts allowed.) What did God say?
4. Do what God said. (Obedience is better than a sacrifice.)
5. And when God delivers you, don’t forget to praise Him and thank Him.
