I shared this with Facebook, and I hope that you catch this and share it with others….
The hardest, toughest, worst, most trying, battle you will have is not the battle with your family member or nemesis; it is not the argument with a foe or so called friend…
It is the battle within yourself.
Anyone can lose their temper, but real strength is demonstrated when you can hold your temper and your tongue.
Challenges arise in your life to strengthen you, to train you for warfare (Judges 3:1-4). But your weakness is shown in your inability to hold your tongue and your blindness in knowing where to throw your blows.
All day long the bible tells us that our warfare is not against flesh and blood, but once we become blindsided by anger, it’s hard to see where and who we are swinging at.
When you fight flesh, you have lost the battle. Whether you are throwing words or punches you have lost the battle.
Your fight is with yourself, and your battle is to control your temper and your words. Whenever you cannot do that, you have lost the war.. – no matter how much you flexed.
Think about it… It’s time to start winning some battles don’t you think.
And find yourself a battle buddy who will help you when the battle really gets tough. Someone who will speak the truth of God’s word to you and not cosign with you allowing you to stay in and rehearse your feelings.
The battle is fierce so you must be strategic.
