When GOD Takes Over, and calls you into HIS Presence…(aka The Great Takeover – a series)

The word of the Lord never gets old.  This message was from 2021 but it’s still so applicable now.

I am excited to FINALLY be able to present the COMPLETED SET of the GREAT TAKE OVER SERIES

Series #1 is entitled When God Takes Over 2021…

  • Part 1 … and Calls You Into His Presence
  • Part 2 … and He Is Relentless in Pursuing You
  • Part 3 … and Calls You To Come Under The Directives of GOD

We know that
…for God so loved the world that He sent forth His only begotten son that whosoever believe might not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Many of us are taught this scripture from infancy.
For many of us, we can recite that.

But by the time you finish all three parts of this series, you will understand even more so, beyond what you have been taught to quote, the love that God has for you and for all humankind.

AND

you will understand God’s love from a chapter that you don’t hear of too often

ISAIAH 28

So If you have been following me as I have been sharing from the book of Isaiah…

Get ready because the entire series is now complete.
You don’t want to miss any of the series

Im too excited to share and I pray it blesses the hearer.

WHEN GOD TAKES OVER, PART ONE: And Calls You Into HIS Presence

I was awakened early on Thursday morning, January 21, 2021. While I had a lot of work to get done, I knew that if my day was to be successful I needed to get in God’s presence first and ask for His favor and blessing upon my day.

Considering that the day before was the day of Inauguration for the new President and Vice President, and desiring to be obedient to God’s Word to pray for those who take the lead among us (1 Timothy 2:1-4), I decided that this is what I would do. I would pray for our leaders.

Because I wanted to pray effectively, I decided to do some research first to look at what God’s Word says about leaders, about praying, and about answered prayers. So I wrote out a list of about 38 scriptures that I wanted to look at before praying to cover over those who are entering new and never before held roles of authority.

Well, I asked the Lord, where do I start, in reference to my list. Let me tell you when you invite the Lord in, things might not necessarily go the way you planned for it to go. I asked the Lord, “Which scripture should I start with?” of the 38 that I had written down. The answer I received of where to start was with a scripture that was not even on my list.

I was told to start at Proverbs 3:5, 6 which says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all of your ways, acknowledge him and he will make your path straight.” That caught me off guard because it was not a scripture that was on my list.

As I pondered that verse and what it said, I acknowledged before the Lord that we definitely needed our paths made straight. What happened next I did not expect.

Here I am, two days later, still basking in all that the Lord poured out on me, and realizing that I never did look up the list of scriptures that I had written down to pray for the leaders.

I thought that I still had to do that until I realized that Jesus did answer me and tell me what to pray and what to do at the same time.

I began to realize that truly “we don’t know how to pray as we ought” (Romans 8:26,27) and that we, even in prayer, tend to lean on our own understanding. We tend to pray our will instead of asking the Holy Spirit to help us to pray “in accordance with God’s will, which is what he is supposed to do.

My prayer for the newly installed leaders is that in all their ways they trust God and acknowledge Him. In doing this He, whose word will not return to him void, will make their path straight.

I don’t just pray this for the new leaders of the United States of America. I also pray this for myself and everyone – that we trust the Lord with all our heart, that we do not lean upon our own understanding, and that in all our ways we acknowledge him as David did
(1 Chronicles chapter14); and that we do not do as Joshua and the Elders did at Joshua 9 when they entered into agreements without first consulting the Lord.

Anyway, what the Lord spoke to me was amazing and in obedience, I am excited to begin sharing it with you as a series called  When God Takes Over 2021, Pt. 1 … and Calls You Into HIS Presence.
When GOD Takes Over 2021, Pt. 2
… and HE Is Relentless In Pursuing You

WHEN GOD TAKES OVER, PART TWO:
… and HE Is Relentless In Pursuing You

A continuation from Part One: When God Calls You Into His Presence, in this part (Part Two) we see just how relentless God is in pursuing us ALL.

His desire is that no one loses their lives, but that all attain repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) God loves us all so much that he allowed his only begotten Son to suffer, bleed, and die for us all, paying for us the debt of sin that we all owe so that we can be redeemed back to God. (John 3:16)

Jesus was sent to earth to redeem us not to condemn us. We are told that he would leave the 99 to go after the one that was lost. (Matthew 18:12-14: Luke 15:3-7)

We are given the story of the prodigal son and how the father watched for him daily. When the prodigal son was seen returning, the father ran out to meet him, hugged him, and then celebrated his return. (Luke 15:11-32)

God loves you and me so much more than we can even fathom. The Bible says that a celebration occurs in heaven when a sinner repents. (Luke 15:10)
God loves you relentlessly.

WHEN GOD TAKES OVER, PART THREE: …And We Are Called to Come Under The Directives of GOD

The final part of the series, When God Takes Over 2021, is a continuation of the study of Isaiah chapter 28 where we learn just how relentless God is in pursuing a relationship with us.

Delving even further into Isaiah chapter 28, and having it opened up for us by the Holy Spirit, we now find ourselves being shown the blueprint of salvation in the most amazing way as God explains to us measurements and plumblines, and geography, and so much more.

As with the first two parts of this series, Series 1 part 3 will not disappoint at all.

Once you finish this series, if you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to check out Series 2 that was deposited on January 24th, entitled Why Are You Sleeping? Get Up And Pray… that you do not fall into temptation.
