There is a new message (not new in that it hasn’t been spoken before, but new in that it hasn’t been spoken in a while) going forth from the throne room that everyone is going to begin hearing about from their various pulpits. The sound is going forth for the people of God to have a teachable spirit. As long as you keep falling back upon and reaching for the old, that which you are comfortable with, you are operating out of your own kit and not moving forward.
The Kingdom of God is constantly moving. If you are going to move with it you must be teachable.

Stop worrying about how YOU look to others. This is not about YOU. It is about Gods Spirit being able to move freely in the church.
As long as you are trying to be in control, trying to control how others respond in praise and in worship, trying to control what message goes forth, you are in the way of the Holy Spirit.
Humble yourself under the Mighty hand of GOD. Come to worship services and any practices you may have ready to learn.
I heard it said once that “there are too many chiefs and not enough Indians”. That is true!

The true chief is Jesus Christ who leads us thru the Holy Spirit who is sent to teach us ALL. Therefore, EVERYONE who thinks him(her)self to be a leader must begin to humble him(her)self and be teachable.
Matthew 18:3 “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
(There are many classrooms in heaven that you can sit in on. This comes from the submission series: “A submitted person has a teachable spirit.”)
Mark my words, all over you are going to hear many who have sat in that class begin to speak about submission and being teachable.
Isaiah 30:21 “whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, “This is the way, walk in it.”
Now the question is, are you going to allow the Holy Spirit to lead and you follow the lead, the direction, of the Holy Spirit,
OR are you going to insecurely, and jealously hold onto your title of leadership and totally miss the move of the Holy Spirit because you are trying to be in control. (I’m just going to sit this right here.)

As for me, I choose to be led by the Holy Spirit, so nevermind me as I turn away from the road of independence and choose that narrow road of dependence upon God. Nevermind me as I choose to check my tongue and to not venture down that side road of feeling justified in my emotions. Its okay if I have to walk alone for a little while because I know that I am not alone and eventually will come across a few others who have gotten off Do It Your Own Way or Self-Justification Path. (See Matthew 7:13-14)
Let me close with this: King Jesus, in teaching the 12 who were chosen to be the next leaders who would train more leaders, listen to what King Jesus said and the example he set:
A dispute also arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest. Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. 26 But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. 27 For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves. – Luke 22:24-27
