Prayer is MORE than Words

Sometimes when asked to pray I choose to be quiet. This is why…

Truth hurts and we as a people do not always want to hear the truth.

What is truth…
That times and seasons are in God’s hands. That there is a time for everything

The groaning of my heart is always that God will comfort the aching heart of the believer. Yet those groans go forth with words unuttered.

What is that word of comfort…
…that God is in control.
…that a delay is not a denial.
…that sickness does not end with death

That’s the hard one… Though it shouldn’t be hard. Grief makes it hard.

But for the believer who believes that Jesus got back up on the third day…
For the believer who believes that Jesus conquered death

For that believer death is not the end of the matter because that believer knows that Jesus said that he or she will see his or her departed loved one again.

For the believer it’s easy to pray, for the prayer is simply that God’s will be done in the name of JESUS Christ. And i know this prayer will be answered because it’s a prayer that is in harmony with the will of GOD.

But it’s hard to pray for an unbeliever when the unbeliever doesn’t want to hear the truth… The truth being that God is in control… Regardless of the outcome, God is in control.

So my silence is a prayer. A groaning unuttered. For the unbeliever to be comforted in his or her trial. To be kept by God until that time where the pain doesn’t block the truth…

What is the truth… That if only they believe, they will see the glory of GOD.

My heart groans
My prayers are being lifted up.
I speak peace over your storms
And stillness in your spirit.

All and more in the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth who holds the keys of death and Hades in HIS hand.

King Jesus, …

Amen
