Hated due to being misunderstood by man
But loved and protected by God.

Stay the course. Don’t give out. You, as a watchman, are necessary

You see the watchman was misunderstood because people thought they thought they were better than everyone else due to their elevated positions.

What the people didn’t understand was that this was a place of loneliness that was important.

They had to watch so they couldn’t hang out around the people like the doorkeepers whose job was to interact with the people by letting them in and out the gates and taking tolls.

The watchmen had to be up high so that they could see what’s coming from afar off and then call out warnings to both the king (government) and doorkeepers (pastoral).

Many want to call themselves watchman without understanding the role of the watchmen.

Many think to be elevated is about being seen. It’s not about being seen. It’s about seeing.

Many think that being a watchman will position one on platforms in front of people.
Wrong again. When one is on a platform in front of people, one is not watching.

Watchmen need to let the gatekeepers do their job and they need to not covet the job of the gatekeeper.

If one feels led to be in the center of a bunch of people interacting with the people then maybe one is not a watchman. (We have all seen them with the title of a watchman and yet behaving like a gatekeeper.)

Watchmen sound the alarm
Gatekeepers act upon the alarm sounded and move to protect the people.

The watchmen are not elevates above anyone else. The watchmen gatekeepers and king all work together – no one is more important than the other.

The elevation and separation of the watchmen simply allows them to do their job by helping them to focus undistracted.

These are just a few things the Holy Spirit taught me to help me to understand where I am supposed to be and how to explain myself so that the gatekeepers could understand that I do not covet their position though I understand their position and so that the people could understand why I don’t hang out. As for the king, they know that I don’t want what they do either. It’s not even a matter of question like it tends to be for the gatekeepers.

I like where Father has me. I’m good. And im better now that I can explain it in a way that the gatekeepers and the people can understand it. 😁

And yes I like how it was said that we don’t choose it. God assigns it. That is so true. So very true.

He said we didn’t choose Him but He chose us and called us to bear good fruit.

And you can’t run from it.

It’s so uncomfortable, especially if you kick the goads (fight against it). But if you submit and allow God to have HIS way, it gets easier and you will begin to enjoy it. 😊. It’s definitely a place of intense training and discipline.

To those who are called and chosen for that position, what you gain ( in intimacy with the LORD) far outweighs what it appears that you LOSE ( in associations with people). It won’t always be like this.
