To the Writer: BE YOU

I remember when I first started digging into and feasting on the gospels Matthew Mark Luke and John so as to learn the personalities of the writers, I didnt like Mark at first.

You see after reading Matthew who was a tax collector and Luke who was a doctor it was hard to read Mark who was a simple fisherman.

After reading John, I went back and tried Mark’s account again and his became one of my favorite books to read. He provides details that the educated writers miss.

I mention this to say, if you worry about how others are going to feel about what you write or whether they will accept what you write, you will never write anything or what you write will be so plastic because your writings will be with others in mind instead of your being you.

You cannot and will not please everyone but who you are supposed to reach you will reach.

Be yourself when you write.
Express things how you feel it.
Being real is what attracts readers.
If something is not understood your reader will ask.

And last but not least.

Everything is not about money.
If you write for money you might go broke.

Write to inspire
Write to encourage
Write to motivate

Just write.

Hone your craft

And when its time…

The book will come
Whether you wrote it yourself
Or someone else wrote it for you.

Habakkuk 2: 2, 3 write the vision make it plain that they may run and not faint.

Even David experienced this.
He had the vision for the temple
But his son Solomon carried it out.

Just write.
Everything else will fall into place.

Just be you.
