I am not talking about the building of the fleshly body either. I am talking about toning up our spiritual body.

If you instruct the brethren

in these things,

you will be a good minister

of Jesus Christ,

nourished in the words of faith

and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed.

But reject profane

and old wives’ fables,

and exercise yourself

toward godliness.

For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable

for all things,

having promise of the life

that now is

and of that which is to come.

This is a faithful saying

and worthy of all acceptance.

For to this end we both labor

and suffer reproach,

because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

We all know the story of Shadrach Meshach and Abednego.

But…

Did you know that They were not the only Jews in Babylon at that time?

Did you know that there were over 42000 of their Jewish brothers in Babylon at that time?

Over 42000 and only 3 stood for the Lord. The rest compromised. Tsk.

Anyway, I gave that compromising issue a lot FB time in 2021. This post ain’t about them who compromised.

This post is about what happened when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego was brought out of the fire.

Look and see…

Nebuchadnezzar answered and said,
“Blessed be the God
of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
who has sent his angel
and delivered his servants,
who trusted in him,

and set aside the king’s command,
and yielded up their bodies
rather than serve and worship any god
except their own God.

Therefore I make a decree:
Any people, nation, or language
that speaks anything against
the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
shall be torn limb from limb,
and their houses laid in ruins,

for there is no other god
who is able to rescue in this way.”

Then the king promoted
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
in the province of Babylon. – Daniel 3:28-30 ESV

Nebuchadnezzar saw for himself that

A. GOD Almighty delivers those who trust HIM.
(I am a living witness to this truth.)

B. GOD Almighty delivers those who won’t compromise – even in the face of death

(Understand this death. It is not just a loss of life. It can be a loss of anything. Loss of a Job. Loss of Finances. Loss of a home. Loss of relationships. Loss of status. Loss of respect from man. The story of JOB tells us this story of loss, and JOB also did not compromise – but over 42000 Israelites did in the days of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

Over 42000 did not want to lose their jobs so they bowed down to the false idol and worshipped it.

Over 42000 was afraid to die so they bowed down to the false idol and worshipped it.

Over 42000 were persuaded by the fear and reasoning of their “family and friends” so they bowed down to the false idol and worshipped it.

Over 42000 who claimed to be “children of God”, who had the birthright that said they were the children of God, but who had no problem with bowing down to a false image at the voice of a governmental authority [I’m gonna insert King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon’s name here before I offend anyone who can see the similarities of what happened in 2020-21].)

C. The fact of the matter (the fact that 3 took a stand for the only true GOD) ended up with King Nebuchadnezzar knowing the truth which is this:

🎶 THERE’S NO GOD LIKE JEHOVAH 🎶

Yes I sung that. Did you? Lol

D. The fact of the matter is that the story ended with King Nebuchadnezzar taking a stand for GOD Almighty that if anyone talked about the God of Shedrach Meshach and Abednego they would be put to death.

Shedrach Meshach and Abednego made a believer out of King Nebuchadnezzar.

And those three were promoted.

Keep this in mind.

1. You might be threatened with death (a loss) in some area of your life but God’s word says that nothing can separate us from Him. He showed His power even in that He resurrected Jesus. So don’t be afraid to lose anything.

Not even a job.

GOD restored JOB increasing him.
GOD protected Shadrach Meshach and Abednego and they were promoted.
God did it for them and HE can do it for you.

🎶 IF HE DID IT BEFORE, HE CAN DO IT AGAIN, SAME GOD RIGHT NOW, SAME GOD BACK THEN 🎶 (if you don’t know that song, look up Tye Tribbett’s Same God on YouTube.)

2. You might have to go through a storm but you are not going to go through it alone. For the Believer: the Holy Spirit is with you. For the nonbeliever:

🎶 Say the Name of JESUS. Say the Name of JESUS. Say the Name of JESUS. No other name I knoe 🎶

3. Those 42000+ compromisers thought they were gonna all lose their lives but they didn’t. They also didn’t get the blessing that the three who maintained their faith got. Therefore, even though they compromised, they are and were still the children of God. They were not elevated for their faith in the foreign land, but they were still allowed to return home when it was time to be released. (See bible books of Ezra and Nehemiah.) And, as you see at the last chapter of Ezra, they had to be washed of their compromising ways too.

It was hard. It was difficult. But it had to happen because they were being redeemed and delivered back home. And omg if this isn’t reminding me of all I read and studied yesterday.

4. I’ve been here before. Father is preparing me for something. I am sharing this with those who choose to listen. You must strengthen your faith and build up your trust in the Lord now.

We all have recently come thru one such fiery trial and many chose to trust man and the government instead of GOD, just like in the days of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

For some reason the attitudes of the people in 2020-21 reminded me of the Israelites who refused to go into the promised land because of fear and their belief in the bad fear report of the 10 instead of believing in the faith report of the 2. After recognizing that they were wrong because God judged them and said that their generation aged 20+ couldnt go in, then they tried to go anyway, without the presence of God. Now they wanted to listen and it was too late (Numbers chapters 13-15)

If we don’t strengthen our faith and trust in the Lord now, we won’t be able to stand strong in faith when the boils of life appear.

Im closing out (though I’m not done) with this…

But you, beloved,
building yourselves up
in your most holy faith
and praying in the Holy Spirit,

keep yourselves in the love of God,

waiting for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ
that leads to eternal life.

And have mercy on those who doubt;

save others by snatching them out of the fire;

to others show mercy with fear,
hating even the garment
stained by the flesh.

Now to him who is able
to keep you
from stumbling
and to present you
blameless
before the presence of his glory
