It’s Bible Story Time 2 – Ezekiel chapter 8

If you enjoyed the first Bible Story Time you are definitely going to enjoy this one.

Now let me add this (now that it’s over). I don’t know about you but I caught the YouTube clips of the Depp Heard defamation case, and let me tell you that what stood out to me was the print outs line by line of their phone conversations from several years ago.

When I tell you it caught my attention how they had details and scrutinized so closely conversations that was thought to be private. But not just that.

Am I mistaken, or was a couple of the audios that they listened to of incidents that were not phone conversations???

Im just saying that God’s Word came to life for me where Jesus said that we will be judged by every idle word we say.

33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit.34 You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

35 The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.

36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak,

37 for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” – Matthew 12:33-37 9

Check out verses 36 and 37 again above. Everyone saw this play out in the court of  law.

This makes me wonder whether if we truly understood those verses would we be more apt to watch what we say, and if we are watching what we say, it only makes sense then to watch our thoughts because what we think gets down into our heart, and what is in our heart is what we speak.

So the entire time of watching clips of the DH defamation case all I kept thinking is nothing is hidden. Everything is naked and open my exposed.

But before I go into the Bible Story Time video – Ezekiel chapter 8, let me go back to Matthew chapter 12 because I saw something of interest that I don’t want to skip over.

Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.

29 Or how can someone enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. – Matthew 12:25,29-32

Using the Johnny Depp / Amber Heard Defamation case, let’s understand these verses in Matthew chapter 12.

Starting with verse 28:

Their marriage didn’t last because they were no longer acting as one. There was selfishness present which caused them to be divided.

Now let me say that I am only using their public case because it was widely seen and because it perfectly unlocks each of these verses we are looking at in Matthew chapter 12.

Now go back and read verse 29.

Did everyone notice how people were living for free in the home of Mr. Depp. This was able to happen because he was bound in the relationship. He is the strongman in that he owns the property. He was bound thru marriage.

Now go back and read verse 31.

Now consider everything that occured in their marriage that was exposed. Violence and abuse, both verbal and physical.

Verse 31 said that every sin and defamation can be forgiven except one – defamation against the Spirit.

Notice that Mr. Depp did not press charges until his character was called into question.

Notice also how they left no stone unturned in this court case, and notice how the behaviors in question was not tolerated in the past nor the present.

Now take that understanding and reread Matthew 12.

Know that nothing is hidden from God. .
