Shhh…
Listen…
What is the Lord speaking to you? (I didn’t ask what the word was from the pulpit. I am talking about that quiet still small voice spoken as you are up this morning getting ready for services.)
Sometimes we can be so busy going thru the motions; so busy with the process of getting ready for the day, getting ready to meet, getting ready to greet…
… that we totally miss that God is speaking to us.
You see, when you gather to meet with the church, for church, and the songs of Zion go forth, those songs should be the echo of your heart.
When you gather to meet with the church, for church, and the prayers are lifted up, it should be as incense coming from between your lips.
And… when you gather to meet with the church, for church, and the word comes forth from the altar, it should be a confirmation of what God has already been speaking to you. You should be looking around the house for the video camera and asking “how did the pastor know?” The Holy Spirit should be bearing witness with your own spirit in reference to what you heard.
Take a second, before service, before you head out the door to go…meet… encourage… and be encouraged…
…To sit in silence and listen
What is the Lord speaking to you and/or Confirming in you?
Father God, as your people gather in their respective places, in the name of Christ Jesus, I ask for you to touch all of our ears, opening them to be sensitive to the sound of your voice spoken and touch our hearts to receive from you that right now word that we each individually need.
Even as many are preparing to enter into your gates with thanksgiving, tend the soil of our hearts so that your word seed can fall on good ground and bear fruit in the name of Christ Jesus.
As it is heaven let it be on this earth. Your will be done. In Jesus name I pray amen
Have a great day of worship and praise today and every day because GOD never stops speaking. So we should never stop listening.
What has God spoken to you today?
