King Jesus had John write 7 letters to 7 churches which provided important information to us for us today

Where 5 of the churches were reprimanded, 2 were not.

Of the 2 (Philadelphia and Smyrna), one would be kept from the hour of trial and one would have to go thru.

The defining factor between whether one went thru a trial or was kept from it was one thing
OBEDIENCE

The purpose of the trial was testing for obedience. (Judges 3:1-4)

Jesus said why do we call Him if we won’t do what He tells us to do. (Luke 6:46)

We are told that if we submit to God and resist the devil that he would flee from us (James 4:7)

We can’t resist (stand) against the wiles (tricks, schemes, lies) of the devil if we are not DRESSED FOR BATTLE. (Ephesians 6:11-13)

Quoting verbatim what each piece is does not mean that the piece has been put on.
