Was it a dream?
Was it a vision?
Today we will be listening in for the closing remarks on a case that has been in court for many years. It has passed from court to court to court with no one wanting to touch it.
Finally, there is one who has looked at the case and has tired of seeing it passed off from one court to another.
Looking over the case handed to him, he read back the transcribed copy:
When Jesus was asked about the issues in reference to the case, while He was on earth. This is what He said…
“As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.
There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words,
that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.
For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.
I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.” (John 12:47-50)
So The WORD has been called in to finally bring this case to a close
ALL RISE…
COURT IS NOW IN SESSION
The Word enters the courtroom.
The lawyer speaks to The Word:
“There is a judgment filed that says that you are rejecting people.
Many said that they prophesied in your name, drove out demons in your name, and they performed many miracles in your name.
Many say that they love you.
Yet it is being said that many are being rejected from entering in.”
[there is a rumble in the room in agreement with all that the lawyer spoke to The WORD.]
Lawyer:
“What is YOUR response to this.”
[the room grows silent as they await the response. you can almost hear a pin drop.]
The WORD speaks:
John 14:15 “If anyone loves me, he will obey what I command”
John 14:21 “Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me.”
John 14:23 “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching”
Luke 6:46 “Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?”
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but ONLY he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
[the courtroom grows loud with weeping and gnashing of teeth. the judge bangs on the desk with the gavel.]
” ORDER!!! ORDER IN THE COURTROOM!!! “
The verdict is in…
I want complete silence as the judgment is read.
“This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
Everyone who does evil hates the light,
and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” (John 3:19-21)
Because of your stubbornness and your UNREPENTANT heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath when his righteous judgment will be revealed.
God will give to each person according to what he has done.
For those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.” (Romans 2:5-6,8-10)
This was not a dream or a vision. Sadly, this will be the reality for many who claim to love the Lord. King Jesus was clear when He said that if we love Him we will obey him. In order to obey Him, we must be regularly reading our Word to know what it is that He says.
Actions speak louder than words.
You will reap the consequences of the choices you chose to make. Therefore, all the times people tried to warn you and you responded to them by saying that they could not judge you, they were not judging you. They were trying to warn you against the consequences that you were storing up against yourself.
Obedience is better than sacrifice.
Sadly, obedience is learned through the things suffered.
So some will have to go through some things today so that they can learn to make different choices.
This story is to be continued…
Why?
Because God also said that if we humble ourselves, pray, seek his face, and turn from our evil ways, HE will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land.
God said that though our sins are red as scarlet, HE will make them white as snow.
God said that HE will put our sins away from us as far as the east is from the west.
So, as we begin to “wake up”, while there is still time, we can make different choices. We can choose to listen, hear and obey.
The choice is yours.
