It started simply with a song,
MAKE ROOM by Kim Walker Smith
And it turned into something I didn’t expect…
EVERY SINGLE DAY I AM IN AWE OF HOW KING JESUS LOVES US ALL
AND REACHES FOR US ALL,
EVERY SINGLE DAY MY HEART DESIRES TO BE IN COMMUNION WITH MY KING
WHO IS ADONAI (meaning Lord, Master)
How about where my desire is to serve HIM and be in service to HIM
HE shows me that HE served me first
John 13:3-17 New International Version
3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. 6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” 7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” 8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” 9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” 10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.”
11 For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean. 12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them.
13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
(This here part resonates so loud and clear.) 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
It’s not enough to hear. We must also obey.
(It was important that the servants do whatever ADONAI tells them to do. When ADONAI tells them. HOW ADONAI tells them. Man does not always understand this because MAN is used to being followed or following man. But Glory Be to GOD. When you are obedient…. !!!! Miracles happen. )
Because Adonai means Lord and Master this is a call to be obedient to what King Jesus is telling us to do.
John 3:3-9 New International Version
3 When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” 4 “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” 6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons .7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. 8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so,
9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside
10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
(After Jesus’ resurrection, HE told His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they received the promised gift from HIS FATHER that was going to be sent back to them… )
John 7:37-39 New International Version
37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.
38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
OH MY OH MY OH MY
From Aleph to Lamed was amazing in my study of the Hebrew Aleph bet,
BUT From Lamed to Tav is turning out to be breathtaking and I am seeing what I’m learning even in these verses.
EVERY LAST ONE OF THOSE VERSES ARE CONNECTED TO ONE ANOTHER AND MAKE SENSE IN REFERENCE TO THE WATER.
In the first verse the vessels were filled to the brim with water. A command that Jesus gave to the servants. In the second verse Jesus washed His disciples with water and told them we were to wash one another. And in the third verse we are seen to be overflowing with living water. We are the vessels that were filled to the brim. Washed by Jesus, we overflow with living water and to those who experience it we are living fine wine with the latter being greater.
I UNDERSTAND NOW WHY I HAD TO WAIT. I had to wait before returning to the “church setting” because I needed to be filled with living water.
I UNDERSTAND NOW WHY I HAD TO SIT STILL. It was important that I heard God’s voice spoken to me over and above man’s voice and that I did not place the voice of another above the voice of God spoken to me.
EVEN UNDER THE SCRUTINY OF EYES THAT DID NOT UNDERSTAND
AND JUDGED
OR FELT SOME TYPE OF WAY
I was being set free from the yoke and bondage of fear of man.
i GET IT, OH HOW I GET IT
Oh, ADONAI,
my steps are ordered by YOU
my heart is in YOUR hands
I’m so in love
I’m so overwhelmed by LOVE
Here is where I lay it down
Make Room (lyrics by Kim Walker Smith)
Every burden, every crown
This is my surrender
This is my surrender
Here is where I lay it down
Every lie and every doubt
This is my surrender
And I will make room for You
To do whatever You want to
To do whatever You want to
And I will make room for You
To do whatever You want to
To do whatever You want to
Shake up the ground of all my tradition
Break down the walls of all my religion
Your way is better
Your way is better
