Early this morning, I heard a message that I very much needed to hear. This is the message that I heard on social media:

I sat with Daddy this morning on the topic of resting in Him and waiting patiently for Him. It was an amazing lesson of which I was shown an area where I have not been resting.

That area is called worth.

I was shown that (though I don’t do it often) there are times when I push and press, and because of this, I hit roadblocks that were purposely placed in my path.

This morning I was shown that the roadblocks was lovingly put in my way to stop me, and to protect me.

You see my heart’s desire is to always be in God’s will; so daily I ask for my steps to be ordered by the Lord. HE has been doing that. Great has been His faithfulness towards me in that ALL that I needed HIS Hand has provided.

For the most part I be focused.

But then there are days when I appear to lose focus and I push and press because I forgot “my worth”. As I considered this before the Lord, I was shown that my push and press has been for “my worth” to look how the world thinks it should look because I gave my ear to listening to the world as it tried to tell me about what I was not and what or who I should be.

Enter the roadblock.

Thank you Lord for the roadblocks

And thank you Lord for stilling me in my spirit.

I am right where I am supposed to be. I am doing what I am supposed to be doing.

But what happens is that sometimes, as I am doing what I am called to do, some see it and it makes them feel a certain type of way. They shouldn’t because they are doing what they should do. Or are they?

You see, when we allow the world to define our worth then we are not where we should be. We are really under a yoke of oppression that causes us to continually push.

But when we truly “commit” ALL to the Lord (our work, and our way) then we are right where we are supposed to be.

Our worth can only be found in the Lord.

Jesus tells us to take up His yoke and to learn from Him in Matthew 11:29 it is in doing this where we will find rest for our souls.

I love how Father protects me. I love how He watches over me.

The enemy was trying to steal from me and it got its hand smacked.

“Touch not my anointed one…” Father said.

You see, I was beginning to become restless in my spirit and I needed to be redirected from restlessness to stillness.

When one is restless it means they have no rest.

I am supposed to rest in the Lord and not be restless.

I am to know and find my worth in the Lord.

And then…

As Galatians 5:1 says, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty where with Christ has made us free, and not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

You see, when you know your worth, You rest in your spirit. But when you don’t know your worth, You feel that you are worth less, which is a spirit of lack, And that causes one to become rest less because you feel like you need to be doing something so that you can have the worth that you were not lacking.

That feeling of lack is a lying whisper of the enemy. Let me show you how you were never lacking in worth to begin with.

God thought you were worth saving So He came and saved your life.

God thought you were worth keeping So He cleans you up inside

God thought you were to die for, So He sacrificed His life

God thought and thinks that you are worthy

So, the enemy whose aim is to steal kill and destroy tries hard to move us out of position with God. Our position should always be one of rest in the Lord.

Understand that a lack of resting in the Lord will cause you to forfeit the promises of God. Case in point: Of all of the Israelites who came out of Egypt, only two (Caleb and Joshua) was able to enter into the promised land. Everyone else died in the wilderness.

Are you going to die in the wilderness because you are chasing Mammon to find your worth? )

The devil does a lot if things to try to steal your peace because when you are at peace you are resting – aka rest in peace is what we say right.

He causes confusion, arguments, disagreements and chaos to try to destroy your peace. But those are things outside of you that you can easily close the door on.

But that enemy is slick because when he can’t destroy your peace with outside forces, he tries to steal it from the inside.

How?

By attacking your worth.

This is yet another reason why it is important to dress daily in your full armor of God.

It’s important that you gird your loins with truth.

Sitting in the word of God and meditating on what it means to Rest in the Lord and wait patiently on Him (Psalm 37:7) is what led me to see this particular attack of the enemy. (We are not ignorant of Satan’s schemes.)

I didn’t just read a verse. I dug into it with a fork and a knife to really hear it and in doing so the belt was fastened around me

I put on my breastplate of righteousness when I began to examine myself and my current situation in lieu of what I was reading. It’s checking oneself in the mirror of Gods Word to make sure everything is right instead of just reading words to say I read it.

I am never barefooted when I leave out because shodding my feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace happens when I understand that before I start my day I am to sit before the Lord to get my marching orders from the Lord. Order my steps Lord. Show me Your ways Lord. Put Your laws in my heart and on my mind. Expose to me anything that is in me so that it can be removed. Wash me.

And that is where my helmet of salvation turns on.

I don’t just speak to the Lord in prayer. I listen for an answer. I asked to be shown and the Holy Spirit responds with recollections and revelations. I am allowed to see and understand.

When I see what is out of order I grab my tools. My shield of faith closes the door on the liar. Slams the door shut.

And my sword of the spirit cuts down the lies by digging up the weeds by the root.

My battle cry has become one of praise and thanksgiving because my rest is full and not less.

I am rest full

Praise God

And my cloak of zeal is transparency

I had to see this so that I could reveal this.

Why?

Because what is old will soon be obsolete and a part of the becoming obsolete is exposure

The Apostle Paul said, “I become all things to all people so that I can save some.” 1 Corinthians 9:19-23

You see I had to be shown the yoke of oppression that many are still enslaved to so that I could expose it (One plants one waters but growth comes from God) so that people can shake themselves free too from the subtle lies of this world that baits us into coming under yokes that Jesus set us free from.

For everyone it will look different. It will require truth to see it.
