This highlighted scripture I stumbled upon while in the process of studying re God’s government.

This verse is found in Amos 1:13, and it doesn’t get any clearer in reference to abortion.

1. God called it a transgression
2. God said that HE will not turn away its punishment

God, who searches our hearts, exposed the root of the heart condition as it pertains to the murder of fetuses.

“That they may enlarge their territory. “

Many have given their own reasons (excuses used to justify the choice) for why.

Many times, the reasons are presented in a “heart felt” manner.

But there are two things that we forget:

(1.)
We forget how God’s Word describes the heart:

Jeremiah 17:9 says the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked

Matthew 15:19 says that out of the heart proceeds evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts,false witness, blasphemous, and these things defile a man

Is it wise to follow the lead of one’s heart  when we are told upfront what the condition of the heart is.

(2.)
We forget that who opens and closes the womb is GOD.

So when the womb has been opened, for the woman, 1 Timothy 2:14-15 let’s us know that a woman is saved through childbearing [if] they continue in faith, love, and holiness with self-control.

So that child, growing in the womb of its mother, already has purpose even before it has been born.

This fits in line with what Jeremiah was told in Jeremiah 1:4,5

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
“Before I formed you in the womb is knew you;
Before you were born, I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Therefore, there is no excuse to justify taking the life of an unborn child.

In doing so, one is taking the life of one that has purpose given it from God.

Now, there is only one individual who has been known from the beginning of time to have positioned itself against the authority of GOD. That one has been condemned to go on its belly (desires) and as such it tries to draw us out by our desires also, but we have the authority to rule over it instead of having it rule us.

This is why we are told to fast. It crucifies  the desires of the flesh.

This is why we are told to have self control. It makes us rule over our flesh instead of being ruled by it.

This is why we are told to walk in the spirit and not after the lusts of the flesh.

And

This is why we should read in God’s Word daily. So that we can see and know that which would protect us from the lies of this world that would cause us to do things that goes against our Creator and HIS purpose for us – the divine design that causes us to abound.
