LORD, Show Me Your Glory [The Fourth Prayer Watch]

These pictures were captured on February 2, 2024, after 9 pm.

This is called a Waxing Crescent Moon. It is the 2nd of 8 lunar stages.
Here is another view of the Waxing Crescent Moon,  the 2nd of 8 lunar stages. What does this remind you of? It makes me feel like I’m in a deep well and the cover is being removed so that I can come out.

This Waxing Crescent Moon also makes me think of a grave six feet deep, and the gravestone is being removed as the person hears their name to come out.

I wasn’t expecting to see this. I just happened to go outside to help my hubby bring groceries in after he got off work, and it was there to greet me, so I felt compelled to snap its picture.

This now stands out to me because there are 8 prayer watches, also.

(One day, i will ask the question of how the prayer watches got their divisions. For example,  why is it 8 3-hour long prayer watches instead of 6 4-hour long prayer  watches.) I’m not ready to ask that question seriously yet.

It is currently 4:24 am.

This is the 2nd of 8 phases of the moon.

I was up considering Psalm 19, which is the scripture focus for the 4th prayer watch.

This chapter starts off by saying that the heavens DECLARE the glory of Yahweh.

A declaration is a speech that reveals, announces, proclaims, and makes known.

“The heavens declare the glory of Yahweh,” and I am reminded of when Moses prayed,

“Show me your glory” Exodus 33:18.

The Request

I realize now that it’s not by accident that I was allowed to see the waxing crescent phase of the moon, and then awakened not to do my regular studies, but to sit in the space of the prayer watches…

And not any prayer watch, but in specific the 4th prayer watch. The one that closes out the night and begins the day.

It’s not by accident that I am allowed to remember the pictures that I took last night and then feel moved to share them here. (Refer back to the pictures shared above.)

It’s not by accident that I am reminded of what Moses said,

“Please, show me Your glory.”

and then be led to ask,

“Why would Moses make that comment?”

The heavens (which is said to be the throne of God) continuously speaks from the day it was created until now and into the future (Psalm 19:1-2), and it speaks of the glory of God.

I find myself now reading and pondering Exodus chapter 33 in its entirety…

and my spirit man is leaping within me.

You see, one of the pictures that I took of the waxing crescent looked to me like a stone being rolled back from the mouth of a cave so that  in what was once dark, I can now see light…

…and that is what I felt in my spirit when Father Yahweh answered Moses’ heartfelt pleas for HIM to continue to be with His people though they so gravely grieved Him.

“LORD, if I have found favor in Your sight…please, show me Your glory.”

And the answer  Moses was given was this:

“I will make ALL My goodness pass before you…”

How often do we take the time to look up and see the goodness of GOD Almighty that is made to pass before us?

You see, Psalm 19:1 tells us that “the firmament [shows us] God’s handiwork,” seen from the POV of earth.

Day to day and night to night we get to see God’s goodness. (Keep in mind that with each creative day God saw that it was good.) So every day and every night we see the goodness of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY pass by.

Seeing God’s glory is about being in the Presence of God. That is what Moses was pleading for.

“Don’t send us away from You.”
“Please go with us.”
“How will we KNOW that Your Presence is with us?…”

This reminds me of how being separated from GOD is to be in a place of darkness, deep darkness.

JOHN confirmed this when he spoke of Jesus Christ as being the True Light that gives light to every man (John 1:5-9)

In Exodus chapter 33, Moses was begging, not for himself, but for his people, the children of Israel – the hard-headed, stiffnecked people of God.

“Lord if I have found favor (grace) in Your sight…
…show me Your glory”

I need to know that You are with us.
I need to see Your Presence.

Father Yahweh reminds Moses,

“You cannot see my face and live”

Then He says,
“Here is a place by Me…”

This is so profound.

How many times have we read Psalm 91 regarding abiding (dwelling) in the Presence of the Most High and missed what it means to abide?

We quote scriptures, but do we really understand how to dwell?

Are we dwelling?

Can you dwell without understanding HOW to dwell?

Father Yahweh says to Moses:
“Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the Rock…”

And just like that I bust out in song

🎵 On Christ the solid rock  I stand, All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand. 🎵

Pause for a second and listen

In DEUTERONOMY 32:1-4, Moses now speaks, after hearing and experiencing the glory of God, and he calls upon the heavens and earth to now listen as he speaks praises unto the Lord our God.

Where Moses was told by Father Yahweh to stand, in His Presence, on the rock, Moses is now telling everyone that Father Yahweh is the Rock (meaning that He is our firm and secure foundation).

How beautiful

Continuing with Exodus 33…

Father Yahweh says to Moses,

“So it shall be, while My glory passes by, I will put you in the cleft of the rock…”

That is the split. The cleft is the split. It’s the divide.

Being placed in the cleft of a rock is being positioned in “a place of divine protection, intimacy, and revelation.”

Oh my…
Wow…

I was next led to see Father’s name

יהוה

I was made to consider each letter individually, and what i was led to see was the vav ו positioned in between the two heys ה.

The vav (or waw) represents man. The hook or connection.

And I am blown away because now I am seeing just how much God loves us and covers us (and even more so when we are obedient).

It is here, in the cleft of the rock that we are kept safe

Ohhh!!!!

Shielded by the hand of GOD

Ohhhh!!! And I realize that…

Father Yahweh spoke His name again to Moses

He said, “I will put you in the cleft of the Rock and will cover you with My hand…”

That statement right there was God’s name spoken to Moses yet again

YOD – HEY – VAV – HEY.

YOD ( י )  means hand ✋️. It is the smallest of letters and yet extremely powerful. [Ruach HaKodeshThe WORD]

HEY ( ה  ) means revelation or light ✨️  . Remember that all wisdom knowledge and understanding comes from the LORD. [Heavenly Father Spirit of Elohim]

VAV (  ו  ) means hook or connection and also represents man  [ Connection Echad(unity) Oneness ]

HEY ( ה  ) means revelation or light. [Spirit of Moshiach (Messiah, Anointed)]

So Moses was placed in the cleft of the rock and then covered by the hand of GOD.

That is so huge.

Moses was further told
“Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen”

And that revelation is also huge for me because our POV of heaven, which continually declares the glory of God, is the firmament which shows us the handiwork of God – daily uttering speech and nightly revealing knowledge.  (Psalm 19:1-2)

God is speaking to us all of every creed, nation, and tongue. All of us, if we pay attention to stop in the busyness of our day to look up, can hear God speak to us through His creation.

Are we listening?

We need to listen.

Why? Psalm 19 tells us why.

The law of the Lord is perfect,  converting the soul;

The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;

The commandments of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;

The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

Verse 11 – Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is a great reward.

Psalm 19: 7-9, 11

I encourage the reader of this post to turn to Psalm 19 and read the last three verses 12-14.

It is now 6:45 am
The 4th prayer watch ended 45min ago, and we are into the 5th prayer watch, but I’m going to end this here.

Looking at those pictures of the waxing crescent moon reminds me of a dark grave whose tombstone has been rolled away so that a person can now exit from a place of darkness into the light.

Oowee, got me shouting !!!

To those who are consumed with despair and hopelessness:

Look up and hear the voice of heaven speak of the glory of God

Take your position on the Rock. Stand still in the Presence of the LORD. Know that HE got you covered, front and back, shielding you with His hand.

Call upon His Name, Yahweh.

God is greatly to be praised.

His loving kindness and mercy towards us endures forever.

He is faithful, and He never fails.

Glory be to God

To the reader

Be blessed.
