Was I Forewarned? Leviticus 26 speaks…

I was studying the latter half of Leviticus 26:6 this week. The half that says “…and the sword will not go through your land.”

I shared several videos on YouTube in my series playlist entitled, Something Old, Something New that specifically dealt with this part of the verse.

This study of Leviticus 26:6 had me focus in on Ezekiel chapters 5, 14, and 29
This study of Leviticus 26:6 had me focus on Leviticus 26:25.

Yesterday my focus for the study had me in Ezekiel chapter 38.

I did not know of or expect to hear of today’s Breaking News event.

War

I feel as if I was led to see Ezekiel 38 to prepare me.

For this reason, I am sharing here what I have been moved to share with others across my platforms:

To the Believers and Followers of King Jesus Christ:

No doubt you are aware of the breaking news of war.

Modern day IRAN is Persia in the days of the Bible.

They are a part of the coalition that makes up Gog of Magog.

Please consider reading Ezekiel chapters 38-39.

Yesterday, ironically,  my study was in Ezekiel 38, not knowing the events of today would occur.

My focus was on that chapter because God said “I will bring a sword on that land” in Ezekiel 14:17 and that positioned me all this week to consider Ezekiel 5:12; 21:3-4; 29:8; 38:21 and Leviticus 26:25 as a part of my Something Old/Something New Playlist studies.

As a Christian who believes in the Sovereignty  of Almighty God, Yahweh [eng. Jehovah], and in the authority of His chosen One, King Yeshua HaMashiach [eng. Jesus Christ], my Lord and Savior, I find peace in the instructions we are given at Exodus 14:13-14 to not be afraid, but to stand still and watch. (See also Ephesians 6:13.)

What are we watching?

While the world is watching the war,  what we should consider watching is how everything is aligning to fulfill Gods word found in Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39, especially in Ezekiel 38: 23, and  also watch how God keeps His Covenant promises to protect and deliver His people.

Time invested in God is time well spent

What we are seeing happening today, February 28, 2026, is that the Bible, which IS alive, is “coming alive” or showing itself to be alive for many who have not been keeping on the watch by regularly reading it as we are instructed in God’s Word to do.

Those of us who believe God’s Word know that it is more than words, and more than the history of the nation of Israel.

We, as “believers” in Christ Jesus, must remember that we are spiritual Israel. Therefore what happens with natural Israel impacts us too.

There are a lot of things that leads up to the final war, and this is what we are and have been living through today. (Consider Matthew chapters 24, 25).

God’s Word is coming to pass. It is being fulfilled.

The question is,

“Do we recognize this wilderness experience and/or the plagues that we have been taught to  normalize as being life?”

“Do we really understand what we are seeing happening in this world?”

God told us to walk by faith, not by sight. So this that is occurring is bigger and deeper than what our physical eyes is showing us.

The world wants us to react emotionally to what is happening, like a person in darkness groping for something steady to hold onto in a place where they cannot see.

BUT, King Jesus told us that while we are in this world we are no part of it.

We were given Psalm 91 to steady us.

The “sun (governments) might be darkened”, and the moon (religion) which has  a light (Jesus is the light), is not giving it.”

Yet, King Jesus told us to let our light shine. So this is why I am sharing this with you:

Consider reading Ezekiel chapter 38-39 even as you watch the news.

Consider also the instructions God gave to His people at Exodus 14:13-14; Genesis 15:1; and Hebrews 11:6.

I find that when I can understand what I am seeing, then I can respond not with the fear and emotions of this world; but, instead, in faith that God is in control and that God is a promise keeper and that God is able to cover and protect His people while disciplining the wicked.

[The anxieties this world spoon feeds people through media will not be a dish I eat from today.]

I just wanted to remind those connected to me in any type of way that God is STILL in control (Revelation 17:17) even over what you are seeing, or hearing, in the news.

Watch and see, through the lens of faith, the judgment of a just God.

Put on your armor and stand still for the battle is the Lord’s.

Be encouraged.
Be blessed

Would you consider sharing a cup of ☕️  or 🍵 with me? Thank you in advance.
