DESCRIPTION: Domestic Violence is not always easy to escape from. It is not as simple as getting away from the initial abuser. You must also escape from the subtle secondary abuse – the words you inflict upon yourself that keeps you trapped in unhealthy environments. It’s difficult. Yet, even though many do not make it out alive, there are some that do get out and this is the true story of one who did.
DESCRIPTION: This is a true story that happened one Sunday morning in the Pediatric Emergency Surgery waiting room. I prayed, “Father, the baby’s mom would not be able to handle such a loss. Please, Father, let the baby survive this”, and I was told instead, “What you need to do is show my people that when they trust me they will always get their heart’s desire. Show them how to trust me, even when their hearts are breaking. Show them how to not give up, even when it seems as if there is no hope. Show them how limiting their views are to a limitless God. Show them that I never leave them, even when they were going thru. I am always there. I have a plan. I have a purpose for the pain. If you trust me you will receive your heart’s desire.” That day, I left the hospital waiting room and went to church to praise and worship while my grandson was in surgery. I knew he would be okay because of the answer I was given. I learned how to pray a prayer that gets results, and I couldn’t wait to share this story.
DESCRIPTION: There is a question that we hear asked from time to time, “Who ministers to the minister?” The better question is “How do you minister to a minister?” or, “When, and Why do ministers need to be ministered to?” These questions are answered in the form of reviewing a biblical court case that resulted in the death penalty. Two were charged with criminal liability, and the third person was charged with accountability. When reading this book, you will take your seat as a witness. You will sit in the jury box and hear the complaints and the arguments. But be careful when its time to make your judgment call because you don’t want to hear what King David heard when he made his judgment call on a matter that was brought to him. Listen, this is business. It is not personal. This is a court case that set a precedent for how things should be handled today. You don’t want to miss this. But to find out how the plaintiff and the defendants are, you got to read the book. IRON SHARPENS IRON: It’s Business, Not Personal.
DESCRIPTION: This two-part book is a Keepsake Journal that addresses both the issue of dealing with a terminal illness and grieving over the death of a loved on. After each chapter is a space is provided to record the feelings and/or prayers of the reader. As it is passed down from family member to family member, this book will encourage the faith of the reader to see the recorded faith of their beloveds and those who had the book first. Our hope is that this keepsake journal will encourage those who read it to hang tight to the promise of God for a resurrection of our loved ones back to life. Dedicated to my mom and cousin who both died in 2019 – one from complications after surgery and the other from stage 4 cancer. I look forward to the day the Lord wakes you both up again.
DESCRIPTION: “Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend.” – Theophrastus. Time is of much greater value than money; and yet, it is the commodity that we waste the most because we spend it frivolously. Once we spend time, it is gone and cannot be replaced. Taking a few minutes to examine our 24 hours, and consider the demands that have been placed upon it, enables us to see if there are any areas where we ourselves have been wasteful; and we are encouraged to fix those areas. We are also encouraged to acknowledge and take accountability for the fact that how we handle our wealth directly impacts others. This is an interactive book that causes one to reflect first; and then, to begin the process of communicating openly and honestly with others about the most precious commodity that we all have – TIME. Though we are all given 24 hours to manage, for some 24 hours has become an acrobatic challenge of juggling. 24 Hours, the book, introduces a key that opens the door to an unexpected life changing journey, but it is up to the reader to walk thru the door and begin the process of productivity. “The key is in not spending time, but in investing it.” – Stephen R. Covey
