Course One: Dressed for Battle

When we chose Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and we identified ourselves as Christian Believers, we immediately became enemies and targets of the Adversary known as Satan and the Devil.
Revelation 12:17 tells us that he has waged war against us. Why? We are told that this is because we OBEY God’s commandments and we hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ.
We are in a war, not against flesh and blood (something tangible that we can see and touch), but against authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12) Because we cannot see what we fight against, we need to take up and put on armor that can be used in this spiritual battle. For this reason, it’s not man’s armor that will help us but the armor of God which has divine power. (2 Corinthians 10:4)
